The CRLA is community based program designed to extend the leadership skills of volunteers or people interested in volunteering in the sport and recreation sector.
Over 10 weeks particpants recieve a practical introduction to leadership in active recreation relevant to any ability, activity or setting. Each week there is a different theme or presenter and tonight was my turn - focusing on inclusive recreation. It was great to see the participants getting involved with the boccia, sitting volleyball and goal ball demonstration sports. Tonight's session also included a presentation from Pam, from volunteering TAS. Volunteers are the heart of sport and recreation and Volunteering Tas helps organisations and volunteers to get the most out of the experiences and opportunities. Well worth checking out the website for more information: www.volunteeringtas.org.au
